The Youth Group First Youth Group Session - Friday 16th April 11 to 13 year olds (inc. year 6, 11 year olds) - 6:00 to 8:00pm There will be a youth group on Friday nights - which will be split by age group and there will be an entrance fee. Activities will include: pool table, table football, age-appropriate wii games and videos, air hockey, refreshments, and music.
We really hope that everyone in the village feels that it is a fitting end for what was the British Legion building and will now provide a dedicated facility for Bishops’ young people, and offer everyone an opportunity to house their own groups, events or just come and hang out and meet people in the café. About Bishops Itchington Community Project (BICP) The centre has been refurbished and equipped using funding from: Orbit Housing, Awards for All, BI Parish Council, O2 and we would like to thank the many volunteers who have helped; demolish, rebuild, paint, clean, fetch and carry, fit kitchens, mend fences, create artwork, donate items, make soft furnishings and offer moral support; and the several tradesmen who have worked tirelessly for little pay to help us solve the many problems we have encountered in recommissioning an old but much loved building. The centre will be run purely by volunteers and we will seek funding for special events or purchases of equipment but in the day-to-day running costs will be covered by the proceeds from the cafe and the youth group. We are now applying for funding to provide equipment and specialist help to get the community garden underway and to set up pottery and cookery classes. Anyone is welcome to hire the hall and we have interest in short mat bowls, the rural cinema and craft sessions for kids so far. More details to follow. If you wish to book the hall or cafe area for clubs/groups/one of events etc. please contact Michelle Tuerena on 01926 613117.
